Kentegra (Kenya)
Kentegra is a purpose-driven U.S.–Kenyan biotech company dedicated to producing organic pyrethrum extract—a botanical pesticide derived from chrysanthemum flowers—and driving sustainable human flourishing. Founded in 2017, Kentegra operates five commercial farms across nine Kenyan counties, employs 322 full-time staff, and partners with over 31,000 contracted smallholder farmers.
By training farmers in regenerative practices and supplying solar dryers, Kentegra improves crop quality, guarantees specialty-price contracts, and helps communities generate reliable incomes. Its faith-infused model emphasizes farmer well-being, market-driven impact, and environmental stewardship in Kenya's highlands. Continuous innovation by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and agronomists ensures Kentegra powers a safer, healthier world—one flower at a time.
