Power Resources International (PRI) operates Africa's only conflict-free certified tantalum-niobium refinery, holding 5% of global refining capacity. Founded through a management buyout led by CEO Ray Power, PRI began operations in 2018 and runs a fully integrated model: responsible mining in Ngororero's hills and advanced refining in Bugesera, with complete supply chain transparency.

Operating in one of Rwanda's most impoverished districts, PRI employs 320 people full time, with medical insurance, pensions, and labor protections that are rare in the sector. Its zero-waste strategy and locally built processing capability have established Rwanda as a serious player in the global critical minerals supply chain.
