From no rent or food to a permanent role
Sharon grew up in humble beginnings in Kakamega. After her parents separated, she was raised by her grandmother and pushed through school despite deep financial struggles.

Though she earned a B- in her KCSE, Kenya’s national secondary school exam, she lacked the resources to attend university. She enrolled instead at Tigoni Technical College for Electrical Installation, which led to a three-month attachment at Auto Springs East Africa PLC.
When the attachment ended, Sharon had no rent or food. Unknown to her, colleagues approached management on her behalf. Their advocacy led to an internship and eventually a permanent role in the Wiring Harness Department.
Today, Sharon supports her family, plans to study virtually, and has regained hope. She describes her journey as a prayer answered.
