Michelle Ochieng Oyler is a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with a heart for impact and a proven track record in international business, sales, and strategic partnerships. As a dual citizen of Kenya and the United States, she brings a rich global perspective and deep expertise in African markets, seamlessly connecting global investors to high impact opportunities across East Africa.
Her career spans international organizations including Volkswagen’s global HQ in Germany (Sales Africa department), Hilton Hotels in London and Nairobi, and SME-focused consulting roles with Lattice Consulting, BSD Group, and Creative FCB. With strong skills in account management, marketing, and business development, Michelle is known for her work ethic, sharp attention to detail, and ability to execute with excellence across cultures and contexts.
Michelle holds an MBA in Finance & Marketing from USIU-Africa and is an Alumni fellow of the prestigious Afrika Kommt!, a GIZ German Government Fellowship Program (2017–2019). She’s fluent in English, Swahili, and German, and thrives in cross-cultural environments where collaboration and mission intersect.
Personal
Grounded in her Christian faith, Michelle is deeply aligned with Talanton’s mission to honor God through investing in growth-stage companies that create jobs and lift people out of poverty. Her own faith journey began in her teens, leading her to serve with Word of Life Ministries in Kenya as a youth counselor and later as a Bible School Administrator, experiences that continue to shape her servant hearted leadership style today.
Michelle is married to her best friend, Justin Oyler, and together they are raising their beautiful daughter, Madison in Baltimore, Maryland. Whether leading investor relations or managing complex projects, Michelle brings passion, precision, and a strong sense of purpose to everything she does.
