Growth and leadership

The impact

Seen, valued, and fully included

Clementine joined Masaka Farms in 2017 during a very difficult season of her life. As a deaf mother striving to care for her children with very limited resources, she carried heavy burdens and deep uncertainty about the future.

“”

Masaka Farms became a turning point in her story. Steady work allowed her to support her household, meet her children’s needs, and finally plan ahead with hope. Through saving and discipline, she was able to purchase two pigs, an investment she once believed she could never afford.

One of the most meaningful parts of Clementine’s story has been the community she discovered at Masaka. Working alongside both hearing and deaf colleagues made her feel seen, valued, and fully included.

That sense of belonging restored her confidence and reminded her that she was not alone.

Today, Clementine stands proud of how far she has come. Masaka Farms has given her more than financial stability. It has given her hope, dignity, and the strength to build a brighter future for her children.
