Iris brings 15 years of experience in financial services, small business startups and scale-ups in Africa, and leading cross-cultural teams. Prior to joining Talanton, she served as Executive Director of Videre, a faith-driven social impact venture that incubated and funded over 70 rural businesses across South Sudan, Ghana, and Senegal. Her portfolio also includes providing financial and strategic consultancy to impact-driven businesses in India and Eastern Europe. Iris began her career as an investment banking analyst at UBS Securities and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

She thrives on creative deal structuring and the detective work of due diligence, using her analytical skills to uncover hidden growth potential in emerging businesses. Iris is passionate about leveraging business as a God-given tool to alleviate poverty and fight injustice, firmly believing that funding the missing middle is crucial to transforming low-income countries.

Iris holds a BS in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and an MBA with distinction from the University of Oxford.
